will do.

new romances come and go... but taking chances is actual
collapsing into the ease.. while songs sing the lyrics to your heart
its not wrong
anytime will come along
no choices will distract
the route is set
from the morning to the night

dont try and understand love
it demands taking care of
from the front back and side
this love sick lullaby

anytime will do
it will always be you

readiness of roses
the doldrums glisten through the blowing winds
set it off, bodies turn against the flesh
while time... it goes on
love. love. love.

try and realize. one day you could be walking the street.
another you might not.
the undertaking is set. against an easy backdrop.

Viva La Mexico!

My feet find themselves in Cancun Mexico where im running an event space for the World Climate Summit. And when i say space i really mean a 6 bedroom beachfront mansion with a pool (seems rather redundant with an ocean 30 feet away). For most of my trip i have stayed wholed up in the Villa and have not been able to explore much but i have snuck out a little bit and have made a few observations.

Mainly that Cancun is a trashier Las Vegas and i wonder if it would be better with spring breakers en tow in an attempt to recapture youth although it would probably make it worse i imagine. Cancun is broken up into two areas which are downtown cancun where the locals live and the hotel zone where there is a stretch of 10 miles of huge monstrosities that line the eroding beaches. Ironic considering there is a climate summit in town. And yet instead of holding the summit at the hotels, its being held further North up the highways towards Playa Carmen. Along the streets and highways there are hundreds of Policia Federal who proudly display their automatic weapons and roam in reinforced pickup trucks in groups of ten. Its quite unnerving, especially considering my housemate Jean witnessed one of these officers of the law drop his loaded automatic rifle onto the street carelessly.

There are dozens of loud clubs and bars that cater to the westerners offering all you can drink access for $40 a night. Shot girls roam around forcing shots down your throat all while blowing a loud whistle seemingly a hundred times and smacking you in the face and then charging you 6 bucks. People grind all up and down eachother and not in a good way. Once in a while youll see someone attractive but for the most part it seems like its most of the Vegas rejects who end up here. At least in December well out of spring break season.

Maybe thats when we shall return... Maybe not...

But once you get out of Cancun the rest of the Riviera Maya is actually quite stunning. Small fishing villages and beach towns line the coast and the locals walk the street drinking beer openly and are eager to offer up some hash. One excited local strummed his guitar and offered some LSD even to which, after previous unsuccessful experiences, i politely declined. The sand on the beaches is the softest ive felt since the Whitsunday Islands off the coast of Australia. Plus i got a fresh filet of grouper with rice, potato and vegetables for under ten dollars. Deliciousness.

Hotel Reading...

Im used to seeing the Gideons drop a bible in the nightstand at a hotel but rarely do i remember seeing a Mormon Bible as well thus i thought it only necessary to add the appropriate literature from my generation. Congratulations Chuck, youve now made it up there with the Apostles and Bringham Young

Cam Phone Diaries #1

Anthony walks along the avenues of venice beach, smokey remenants of lost nights and brutal sun. Behind him he feels transported to exodus, but without a ride where shall he go? Have no fear, his ride with beanie babies in tow welcomes his derier so he can sail smoothly into the next dimension.

...

talk about it discreetly while the blue birds play over our shoulders and come home eventually when we become older.. people will see you walk away from here with a pep in your step and your head held high into the sky so taste what it will feel like to be alive and imagine that big decisions only exist when the flowers wilt and you turn on your gas stove to warm your frozen finger tips

feel happy, feel sad
feel mad. feel love.

BBMing about BP

I have a friend from England and recently we were debating the issues surrounding the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. He was making the argument that President Obama had completely and utterly dropped the ball on this crisis and all the blame Obama was crediting the Brits with was unwarranted and was severing relationships with Americas strongest ally, the United Kingdom. My friend offered that the British Petroleum oil rig was operated and managed by American employees and therefore Agamas charge on the executives of BP was all for naught. “Obama had lost its last remaining ally in Europe, now the whole world hates him.” Considering this debate occurred over BBM across two continents and a vast ocean I kept my rebuttals short. What’s most disturbing is all the finger pointing and the lack of solutions presented while oil keeps leaking into the Gulf. Whether it’s the right wing, the media or drunken Brits over BBM it seems people are most concerned with blaming one another instead of fixing the problem. The failure of BP executives to except blame for this man made crisis is startling and another reminder of the large multinational corporations lack of accountability. In an era that has seen large corporations such as AIG, Fanny May and other financial institutions threaten the livelihood of every working class citizen worldwide, this is just another reminder of the need for aggressive reform… on all levels. The need to move from fossil fuel based energy is now more apparent then ever.
Furthermore my mate’s argument sounds similar to an adulterous husband blaming his wife for not putting out enough for his philandering. Should we punish the messenger who alerts the wife of her husbands cheating or the husband who actually performed the act? All too often it seems the messengers are found at fault.
Either way I could not blame my friend for his anger… I figured his resentment was less about Obama’s 20 billion charge for BP. He was just upset that the United States men soccer team had won Group C in the World Cup, one spot ahead of the second place Brits

away we go

away we go
up in the clouds
away we go
down long dusty roads

eyes to eyes
breaths that say hello
cuz when you smile its in slow motion

away we go
into the laughter
away we go
till we cant go any further

i wanna lay with you
while lou reed plays guitar in the corner
and feel like every moment is the most important moment

away we go
till we reach the sea
and we keep going
until theres nothing left to see

skip this life and ship it away
we wont need any money if we never get up
so let it linger on...

at least until tomorrow morning
